Hello Families!

Our class has launched another part of our literacy block: read to someone! During this time, we sit elbow to elbow and knee to knee to share a book with a partner.  We enjoy this time because we get to find out what kinds of books our classmates are reading, and it gives us an opportunity to both listen to a story and read to a friend.

 

Last week, we visited our 3^rd grade buddies to listen to the story The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush by Tomie dePaola. After the story, we felt inspired to paint sunsets of our own using watercolors.

 Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences are next week. We will meet to discuss your child’s progress.  A reminder was sent home with your scheduled time. If you are unable to meet at that date or time, please let me know as soon as possible and we can reschedule.
