Third grade is off to a great start!
We have started to settle into the classroom and get to know our classmates. Each day this week, we participated in different activities and games to help us learn more about each other. We took time during morning meeting for a few students to share an object that reminds them of an activity they did this summer. We also chose a partner to interview and then introduce to the rest of the class.
In the first week of school, we visited Mrs. Hazel for Gym and Mrs. Patino for Library. Together, we read Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes and afterwards discussed the significance of our own names. We also started listening to our first read aloud chapter book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
We are getting comfortable in the classroom, becoming acquainted with our classmates, and ready to begin a fantastic, eventful, and successful school year!
