Hello Families!
In Math, we have been learning about fractions. We have
identified fractions of different shapes by dividing them into equal parts such
as halves, fourths, or thirds. Last week, after reading a story called Give Me Half! We decided to share one
half or one fourth of a cookie with a friend.
In Science, we have been studying the weather and learning
about different types of clouds. After reading several nonfiction books about
clouds, we made our own cumulus, cirrus, and stratus clouds out of cotton
balls.
We filled up our
class marble jar…
…and we are going to celebrate! We plan to watch a movie and
have a special snack on Friday, April 11th. Students may bring in their own parent-approved
special snack from home to have during the movie. Students may also bring in a G rated movie.
We will vote on which movie to watch. Please contact me with any questions.
Classroom supplies
Thank you to families who have donated supplies! We are still
running low on shared classroom supplies such as disinfecting wipes, tissues,
and dry-erase markers. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Enjoy the weekend!
Ms. Little
