Important Information
·
September can be a very warm month. It is
helpful for children to have a water bottle to keep on their desk in order to
stay hydrated throughout the day.
·
It is important that you send your child with a
snack each day. We have extra spoons and
forks if needed.
Communication
Your child will be responsible for a home-school
communication folder, called a BEE
Book, that will be brought to and from school every day. BEE stands for Bring Everything Everyday. It is intended to be a way to communicate notes, homework,
and completed work that your child will carry back and forth between school and
home. Thursday Backpack Folders will
also be used to communicate notices and the school newsletter and should be
returned on Friday. Please remind your child to take good care of both their
BEE Book and Thursday Backpack Folder as they will be used all year.
A class newsletter will be sent home twice a month (about
every other week) and will provide information about upcoming important dates,
pictures of the students in our class, and news about what we’ve been up to in
first grade. We also have a class website
that can be found at http://mslittleinmaynard.blogspot.com.
This is where you can access information about our class including news, photos,
and links to educational websites. Our website will be a tool that I’ll use to
communicate what’s happening in our classroom.
Please visit it often to stay updated!
If at any time during the school year you have a question or
concern, please feel free to contact me at elittle@maynard.k12.ma.us, by
calling Green Meadow at (978) 897-8246, or by sending a note to school with
your child in their BEE Book.
I am very much looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year!
J
Most Sincerely,
Ms. Little
