Hello Families!

Our class has been learning all about maps in Social Studies. First, we learned about the cardinal and intermediate directions. Then, we discussed the location of Green Meadow and the bigger picture of where our school is located in relation to Tiger Drive, the town of Maynard, the state of Massachusetts, the country of the United States, the continent of North America, and the planet Earth!

Field Trip!
On Thursday, April 9th, the first grade students and staff will be taking a field trip to Mechanics Hall in Worcester to see the play, Charlotte’s Web. We will be leaving Green Meadow promptly at 8:45 and returning around 12-12:30. The cost of the field trip is $8.00. Please send cash in a labeled envelope along with the permission slip. Should you need financial help, please send in the permission slip along with a note stating this. We will be returning to school after our scheduled lunch time, so students will need to bring lunch from home this day as the cafeteria will be closed when we get back.  Permission slips and money are due by April 2nd. Please contact me with any questions.

Conferences and Classroom Supplies
Spring Conferences are coming up! 10-minute conferences will be offered on Thursday, April 2nd.  If you did not receive the email from Sign Up Genius, please let me know as soon as possible and we can set up a time to meet.

Thank you to families who have sent in shared classroom supplies throughout the school year! We are running low on tissues, dry erase markers and disinfecting wipes. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy the weekend!

Ms. Little
